Tri Tryone 70.3
24/7 was well represented at Saturdays Tri Tyrone event at Eskragh Lough in Dungannon hosted by the Tri Limits triathlon club.
Four club members took on the 70.3 half ironman distance. Nicholas Fowell was the first club member to complete. He finished in a time of 4:42:35, 12th position overall. Jarlath Duffy finished in 5:36:17, Fin Begley in 05:41:15 and Cathal Roarty in 5:53:18. Well done everyone on such great performances.

Tri Tyrone Standard Distance
Hugh Gallagher, Shane McNulty and Emma McGee took on the standard distance event in wet and windy conditions. Hugh was 5th overall in 2:13:08 Shane was 7th overall in a brilliant time of 2:14:43. Emma McGee, fresh from her win at our home race in Gartan was 1st female, winning the event in 2:26:59 and finishing 12th overall.

Danny McDaid15k&5k roundup
Fourteen club members took on the annual Danny McDaid 15k on Sunday in wet conditions. Gavin Crawford was 1st club member in a time of 54:54. There was some great performances on the day-Liam Tinney with a PB of 1:04:59 just days after his milestone birthday and Pat Brady not too far behind in 1:08:28. Seamus Morrision ran well in 1:09:41. Stephen Sweeney finished in 1:19:09 and Tommy Hill in 1:22:33. Full club members results listed below.

Margaret Kelly Chattanooga World Championships Fund Raising Duathlon
As most of you may already know, Margaret Kelly will be competing in the 70.3 World championships in Chattanooga, Tennessee on 9th September. Margaret’s excellent performance at the 70.3 in Wiesbaden Germany in August last year ensured qualification for this year’s World Championships.

It is not every year that a club member qualifies for such an event so with this in mind we are organising a fund raising duathlon to help with the expenses incurred for this event. The sprint distance-.2km run – 16km Bike – 3.2km run- triathlon will take place on Sunday 27th August from St Eunans GAA grounds. This event is open to everyone, no TI licence required, relay teams welcome and donation on the day is the fee for the event so please spread the word. Looking forward to seeing you all there.

Registration Opens – 5:30pm – 7pm – Aura Leisure Centre (beat the queues on Sunday morning and register on Saturday evening.

Sunday 27th August 2017:
Registration Opens – 7:30am – 8:30am – Aura Leisure Centre
Transition Opens – 7:30am – O’Donnell Park
Transition Closes – 8:40am – O’Donnell Park
Race Briefing – 8:45am – O’Donnell Park
Race Start – 9am – O’Donnell Park
Presentations – 12noon – Aura Leisure Centre
There will be refreshments served after the race in Aura Leisure Centre.

Swim Fees
The quarterly swim fee for July-September is now due for all participants with no exceptions.

Wednesday: Swim session- Advanced 7-8pm, Intermediate/ Beginners 8-9pm
Thursday: Brick/TT session 7.00pm- this week is a TT session starting at Foxhall at 7pm sharp

Saturday: Club cycle leaves from Aura at 8am
Saturday: Swim session- 6-7pm (please note prepayment does not cover the cost of Saturday sessions.
