Margaret Kelly Chattanooga World Championships Fund Raising Duathlon
A very successful fundraising duathlon took place on Sunday morning in aid of Margaret Kelly’s upcoming world championship trip to Chattanooga, Tennessee. In perfect racing conditions the very impressive Mc Ginley brothers, racing as a relay team, were the first to finish the 2mile/10mile/2mile duathlon course in a time of 45:35. Aidan Callaghan was 1st male in 46:26, John McFadden 2nd in 47:35 and Sean McFadden 3rd in 47:50. Siobhan Gallagher was 1st female in 52:55, Natasha Kelly in 56:27 and Trish Nulty in 1:03:28.

Dublin City Standard Distance Triathlon
Four 24/7 members made their way to the capital on Sunday for the Dublin City Triathlon, all taking on the standard distance triathlon. Donagh O’Sullivan was first member to cross the line in 2:30:22. Ita McGettigan, on her standard distance debut finished in an impressive 2:50:45, her husband Martin, in 2:58:16, also his first time at this distance. Clara Quigley crossed the line in 2:59:23.

Well done to our club member Jonathan Martin who raced in the Super series Cat2 event at Sundays Dublin City Triathlon.
Jonathan finished in a time of 1:01:51,14th overall and 3rd in his age category. He even had time for a pic with Taoiseach Leo Varadkar!

Firmus Energy Newry Sprint Triathlon
Michael Black was 5th overall at the Newry Sprint Triathlon over the weekend. Michael finished in a time of 1:03 winning the M35-39 category. Michael also had the fastest run split of the day.

RAT Race Ramelton
There were double 24/7 winners at Saturdays RAT race in Ramelton. Shaun McDevitt was 1st male in Saturdays 40k adventure race in Ramelton in a time of 1:44:00. Fionnuala Larkin was 1st female to cross the line in a time of 1:55:42. Fiona Temple also took on the 40km distance finishing in 2:27:12.
Paddy Doherty took on the 28km Course and finished in a time of 1:16:06.

5k roundup
Stephen Robinson was the winner of the St. Michaels 5k in Dunfanaghy in a PB of 18:10. Shane McNulty was 3rd Male in a time of 17:37 at the Aurivo Charity 5k on Tuesday and Terence Quinn ran 23:07 at the Kathleen Donaghy Memorial 5k held on Sunday.

Junior Success
Ciaran McGettigan was in action at the National youth cycling championships in Carlow at the weekend. Ciaran had two good placings in the U14 races just missing out in a national medal, finishing 6th in both the road race on Saturday and the town centre Crit on Sunday.

Club Training
Club training continues as follows:
Tuesday: Track session- 7.45pm
Wednesday: Swim session- Advanced 7-8pm, Intermediate/ Beginners 8-9pm
Thursday: Long run leaves Aura 6.30pm
Saturday: Club cycle leaves from Aura at 8am
