PRIZES AND PB’S FOR 24/7

Lifford AC 5K series
The final race in the Lifford AC’s 5k series took place on Sunday and it really was a case of leaving the best to last for our 24/7 competitors.
Clint Doherty was the first club member over the line in 17:56 leaving Clint 2nd male overall in the series.
Gavin Doherty in his first 5k of the year finished in 19:26. Natasha Kelly was 2nd woman overall achieving a PB of 19:41.
Pat Brady, aided by his pro pacer Paul Doherty, broke the 20minute mark in style. He crossed the line in 19:47 giving him the prize of 2nd place in the Over 55’s section.
Ryan Doherty finished in 22:42, taking 10seconds off his time from 2 weeks ago and Terence Quinn finished in 23:04.

Congrats to all competitors, especially Clint and Pat on their prizes.

Paul “Wally” Gildea Memorial 5k Family Fun Run/Walk
Club member Paul Doherty is organizing a 5k this Sunday 19th February at 11.00am.
All proceeds to Pieta House and Sheephaven Aqua Club. Registration is from 10am in Highland Motors. With refreshments afterwards.

Letterkenny National Series Sprint Duathlon
The 2017 Letterkenny Sprint Duathlon will take place on Sunday 26th February. Sponsored by The Kitchen this race is part of the National Series of races.
The entry fee for both individual and relay teams is €25. Entries are coming in fast so get signed up to what is always a great club event.

2017 Club Membership
The club would like to remind all members that 2016 Triathlon Ireland membership cards have now expired and you must renew your TI and Club memberships as you are no longer insured during club training sessions. All details on renewing membership can be found on the Triathlon Ireland website. Anyone who does not have membership paid in the next 2 weeks will not be permitted to attend club training.

Club Training
Club training continues as follows:
Tuesday: Track session- 7.45pm
Wednesday: Swim session- Advanced 7-8pm, Intermediate/ Beginners 8-9pm
Thursday: Long Run session leaves from Aura at 6.30pm
Saturday: Club cycle leaves from Aura at 9am
