Club AGM 2024

 The 247 Triathlon Club AGM will take place on Thursday 10th October at 7pm in the Mount Errigal Hotel Letterkenny. Tea/Coffee and biscuits will be provided. We encourage all members to attend the AGM so that your opinion is heard.

Send on any committee nominations/ AGM Items for agenda to the club secretary.

There will be a number of committee members not seeking re-election. Anyone interested in joining the committee or not sure what’s involved please contact any committee member.

CLUB AWARDS NIGHT 2024

Save the date:  Saturday 2nd November CLUB AWARDs night, in “The Wee Bar”, The Brewery, Letterkenny. Awards ceremony starts at 8pm with complimentary finger food. Join us in celebrating a very successful year in triathlon.

Club Activities

Not as many racing this past week & no triathlon reports sent in. Sean, Sammy and Suzie have been consistently training and racing this season and provided the following reports.

Donegal East Half Marathon

Shaun Sweeney completed the Donegal East Half Marathon in a time of 1:37:00. This was a PB for Shaun and its down to his consistent training with the club this year.

North West Coastal Challenge

Suzie and Sammy Bogan took to roads for the North West Coastal Challenge 36km adventure race organised by St. Michaels GAA on Saturday. Sammy finished 34th place in a time of 1.54.00 (even with some mechanical troubles). Suzie finished in 2hrs and was 8th female. Reports are of a great race!

Club training

Monday
recommend rest day swimming or strength.

Tuesday –

Wednesday swimming🏊7pm till 8 (one x Coach) 4 lanes only…Bring your own hand paddles, pull buoy and fins.

Thursday –

Fridays recommend rest day, swimming or strength.

Saturday clubs cycle both groups leaving at 8am…..group leaders will post route and distances on Friday.

Sunday long run 12/16k steady.

Club notes will be released weekly. If you wish your sporting endeavors to be included, you need to email or text the club PRO with your photos, times, event details by 5pm each Sunday.
