Mary Bond River Moy

Mary Bond put in a powerful performance on the 600m course at the River Moy swim last Saturday. She came home with the first place medal for her age category. Well done Mary!

Shane McNulty headed to the Two Provinces event in Lanesboro and took on the Aquabike course, a 750m swim followed by a 20km cycle. Shane tore up the course with a time of 44:41 to finished 3rd overall and first in his age category.

Mervyn McDowell was in action at the Harbourman Triathlon in Wicklow, after last week’s outstanding performance in Ballyshannon. He put in a steady race to finish 32nd overall and 8th in his age category.

This week’s training schedule as follows:

Monday 6.30pm: Open Water Swimming at Gartan Lough. Kayak: Seamus Gallagher Sign in: Emma McGee

Tuesday 6.30pm/7pm: Running Session. Session will be posted in WhatsApp group on Tuesday and members can arrange to meet that evening.

Wednesday 7pm-8pm: Lane swimming at the Aura. Online booking/paying available on https://letterkenny247.com/.

Thursday 6.30pm -7.30pm: TT/Brick Session at Foxhall. First bike away at 6/45pm sharp. Marshals Seamus O’Ceallaigh and Shaun McDevitt.

Saturday: Club cycle details will be posted on WhatsApp group during the week.

Sunday: Long run or long bike TBC. Transition practice will be incorporated in the weeks leading up to races.
