The Gransha Duathlon, organised by North West Triathlon club, was held on a lovely sunny Sunday morning. Aidan Callaghan, Paul Dillon, Mervyn McDowell, Matthew McKinley, and Yasmina Lazaro took on the course, a perfect opportunity for early season fine tuning. Aidan place 2nd overall in a time of 51:03, Paul Dillon wasn’t far behind in 5th place with a time of 53:38, Mervyn McDowell posted 57:28. Matthew McKinley 58:04, Yasmina Lazaro 63:33. and Fin Begley 65:48. Well done everyone!

Adam Speer headed to Paris to take on the scenic marathon course on Sunday. After battling with an injury that meant his longest run in the last six weeks was 18km, he showed unbelievable resilience to set a personal best 2:48:05.

There were some fine performances from club members at the Errigal CC TTT recently. Seamus Kelly and Paddy Doherty were part of a team combination that came home in second place clocking 1.35:40, while Neil Sullivan’s team placed sixth overall with a time of 1.36.32.

Eoghan O’Riain headed to Quest Glendalough this weekend, tackling the 43km Sport route that involved running, cycling, hiking, and kayaking. Eoghan placed 274 out of 759 participants, an excellent performance.
