Sheephaven Half & Sprint Sold Out
Both Sheephaven races sold out.
There will be no more entries opening. The transfer window is still open until the Saturday before the race. If anyone is looking to transfer they arrange themselves. It’s done via the Triathlon Ireland website registration system. A transfer thread will be available on the race Facebook page for people to arrange transfers among themselves. No refunds now and we do not defer entries. It’s time to get ready to Race !!
Letterkenny 24/7 members put in gallant efforts at WAAR.
Letterkenny 24/7 ladies show how to win. This weekend the ladies in the club showed impressive talent.
Noelle Parker showed her skills returning to win the WAAR Sprint race in 1:45:38.
With Susi Bogan narrowly missing a podium position.
In the longer Full distance it was an equally exciting race, with Peter O Donnell finishing 7 seconds behind the winner Declan Ferry. Declan getting the victory in 2.20.51, Peter behind on 2.20.58!

Wild Mayo Ultra
Big congrats to Alison Higgins who won the Wild Mayo Ultra 200km in a time of 7:23:01 breaking the women’s course record.
Higgins dominated the ladies’ section of the Wild Mayo Ultra. In her first race in an unsupported category, she showed her usual grit and determination, taking 1st place in the 200km discipline. Well done Alison, that trophy cabinet is filling up nicely this season & it’s only early yet !!

Club training for the week ahead.
Monday 13th of May Gartan open water swimming🏊 safety brief 625pm and in the water 630 sharp.
Wetsuit and swim buoy mandatory
Tuesday run🏃🏽 speed session meeting point the aura main entrance door for warm-up leaving 630pm (Coached)
Wednesday swimming🏊7pm till 8 (two x Coaches) handpaddles pullbuoy and fins
Thursday TT🚴 first bike away 6.45pm sharp out at foxhalls…. Anyone free to do the timing again can you post here please.
Fridays recommend rest day swimming or strength.
Saturday biking groups leaving the aura 8am. Helmet, front and back lights mandatory kit.
On Fridays group leaders will post up course details etc.
Sunday long run 12/16k steady.
Club training continues weekly and it’s great to see increased numbers at Wednesdays swimming and Saturdays spins. The new payment system for swimming is working well. Club members are reminded to make sure to pay as a guest and that their name is typed in also so we know it’s you ! Payment link gets issued every Wednesday in the clubs what’s app.
