Callout for Volunteers at Sheephaven Half & Sprint

The Sheephaven race is always known for its support and the volunteers that make the event extra special. Entries for the event are now closed, with 300 competing across both races. The race directors, Liam Tinney & Gavin Crawford, are asking that anyone that is available to volunteer please let them know asap via phone or email. There are many different roles involved and even if you are only available for a few hours on the morning of June 29th your help would be appreciated. Those that are competing in the Sprint race, that feel they have the energy left after it, might also like to stay and help marshal at the 70.3?!

The transfer window is open until Friday 21st June for those wishing to transfer their race entry. If anyone is looking to transfer their entry they arrange themselves. It’s done via the Triathlon Ireland website registration system. A transfer thread is available on the race Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/sheephavenhalf

Club First Aid Training

For those interested there will be First Aid & Defib course on the evening of June 20th in Letterkenny. Please contact Gavin Crawford to book a place on it.

Coyle Takes Podium at Galeforce

Huge congratulation and well done to Siobhan Coyle. Siobhan travelled to Lanesborough in Longford to compete in the first race of the Gaelforce trilogy.

Coyle claimed an impressive 1st place in the veteran (over 40) category in the Gaelforce Great River swim. She recorded a time of 14:33 for the 800m course. Siobhan is competing in the series of the Gaelforce swims over the coming month and has set a high standard on her first outing.

Roe Valley Sprint Triathlon

3 club members took part in the Roe Valley Sprint Triathlon at the weekend. For some it was their first time taking on the sprint distance. As a club its fantastic to see members progress from Try A Tri to the other distances. Each race gaining in experience. Well done lads!
