Club Notes 26th Nov 2023

Winter base training continued for many members this week with increasing numbers taking part in weekly activities. The Saturday cycles are continuing to see numbers increase. If you’ve been meaning to get out, now’s the time to do it.

There are two groups going out each Saturday morning. The 9am group is aimed at beginners and intermediate, with pace set on the morning based on who is there. The second group leaves at 10am and they normally keep a speedier pace.

2024 Major Events Calendar Announced.

The majority of Triathlon National Series will be open for entries closer to Christmas, keep an eye on the race calendar to sign-up

2024 Membership is now open for Existing & New Members to join and begin training. Early bird membership is €35 this will run up to Wednesday Midnight 31st of January then back to normal €50 fee Keeping in mind 2023 membership is still active until midnight on the 31st of December. Weekly Training plan:

Clubs Training for the week ahead Monday 26th November (suggested) 1. Easy 8km run conversational pace 2. Gym strength & core

3. Swimming/Drills

Tuesday Spinning/Turbo Class Aura 7.45pm – 8.45 (Coached session)

Wednesday Pool Swimming Aura 7pm – 8 (Coached + tri-leader )

Thursday hill session leaving the aura at 630pm sharp for Warm up (Coached)

Friday (suggested) Rest day/Strength & Conditioning or Swimming.

Saturday Club cycle Leaving aura @9am & 10 o’clock with 10/15 mins easy run off the bike Route and distance will be posted on the Friday along with who’ll be leading each group. Clubs policy you must have front and back lights. No one will be left behind.

Sunday 9am Long run 10/16km conversational pace
